LEADERSHIP AND MENTORSHIP

LEADERSHIP AND MENTORSHIP

Out of the 78% 0f the total population in Uganda, approximately less than 10% of the girls actively take part in leadership and decision making process. Those that manage to take part are instead left out in the final decision making processes. That’s why as UYDT we found it necessary to support the young people to be more productive within their communities by giving them the necessary information through workshops, seminars, radio talk shows. A number of programs have been incorporated within this area and they include; career guidance, life skills, leadership and mentoring, peace building workshops. Beneficiaries are both in and out of school young people.
